HPV Vaccination Awareness Programme
An HPV Vaccination Awareness Programme was organised at Excellent CBSE School on 22-07-2026 with valuable and informative sessions aimed at creating awareness among students and parents about the importance of HPV vaccination.
Dr. Akshatha Nayak, Administrative Medical Officer, Community Health Centre, Moodubidire, who attended the programme as the Chief Guest, explained that the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) is a major cause of cervical cancer and that HPV vaccination is highly effective in preventing HPV infection. She highlighted that the vaccine protects the body against the virus and significantly reduces the risk of cervical cancer in the future.
She further explained that the HPV vaccine, which has been in use since 2006, helps strengthen immunity among girls and lays a strong foundation for a healthy future. She also informed the gathering that the vaccine is being provided free of cost by the Government for the first time and encouraged all eligible girl students to make use of this beneficial programme.
On the occasion, Dr. Akshatha Nayak was honoured by the institution in recognition of her valuable contribution to the awareness programme.
Emphasising the saying “Health is Wealth,” Administrative Director Dr. Sampath Kumar stated that good health is one of the most valuable assets in life. He highlighted that Excellent Institution gives priority to the physical and mental well-being of students by organising various awareness programmes on regular physical exercise, healthy lifestyle practices, and personal hygiene.
He also stated that the institution has taken initiatives to create awareness among girl students and parents about the Central Government’s HPV vaccination programme, encouraging eligible students to benefit from the vaccination and take a positive step towards a healthier future.
